Selected Studies

Five studies, five different problems solved.

Each piece was an exercise in something specific — an expression, a lighting scheme, a color relationship, an angle. Read together, they show a consistent hand across different moods.

A note on this collection

These studies show expression, lighting, and control of line — the fundamentals a character concept artist needs. What they don't show yet is a full character design: a complete outfit, silhouette, and turnaround. Full-body designs and character turnarounds are available on request for any role that requires them — this collection leads with the fundamentals first.

01

Expression control

Faces that read an emotion instantly, without relying on exaggerated cartooning.

02

Color & mood

Comfortable pushing palette away from realism to set an atmosphere — teal, blue, saturated flats.

03

Construction fundamentals

Confident linework and proportion across front, three-quarter, and profile angles.
